Hee-Eun builds alternative infrastructures for knowing and relating through data, sound, and interaction, preserving the relational nature of systems against frameworks that reduce them to isolated components.

Her work is grounded in Eastern philosophical traditions that understand reality as processual, relational, and inherently multiple. She treats data as behaviour, focusing on its actions and effects rather than static representation. Her work reveals the narrative infrastructure containing human decisions and systemic patterns without collapsing them into simplified metrics.

Hee-Eun develops custom data engines, real-time sound processing systems, and interactive software, not as tools applied to content, but as systems built to sense and respond to specific contexts. Each operates through open structures where outcomes emerge through encounter rather than being predetermined. The work completes itself through audience participation, not as an interactive feature but as a fundamental condition: the audience becomes implicated in the processes being made visible.
